Sentron's cornerstone:
The chemical sensor line consists of rugged, unbreakable ISFET pH probes and meters, ensuring reliable operation in many different applications, even under the most demanding conditions. Through constant and direct contacts with all the target market segments the marketing department is continuously searching for new needs, find new application areas, to define new products to be developed.
 

EU Funding:
Sentron has received a grant of the EU via IAD for developing a minature sensor that transmits a pressure signal. Such a sensor is important for monitoring pressure in the human body.
With this funding Sentron Europe is designing a very small and low energy solution that can be used for a long period.






The technical cornerstones of Sentron are the solid state chip technology and the encapsulation. The marriage of these technologies has enabled the development of miniature chemical sensor devices, based on the Ion Selective Field Effect Transistor (ISFET) and micro pressure sensors, based on the piezo-resistive properties of silicon.   
  

pH values are an important indicator for research and determination in the human body . Sentron supplies sensors for catheters used in oesophageal and gastric research. We also manufacture a semi-finished product for an electronic pill that can display the acid level of the entire gastrointestinal system (SmartPill).

In addition to pH sensors, Sentron manufactures pressure sensors, among others for monitoring blood pressure in veins. Those sensors are extremely sensitive and can detect even the tiniest variations.

For measurements in the human body it is very important not to use breakable materials such as glass. In addition, it is very important that the sensors don’t leave damaging substances in the body, as some sensors have shown to do. Since Sentron’s sensors are very small, they allow for miniature solutions that enable very accurate measurements.
